All over the world, our kilims are very
popular. We have exhibited in many
countries such as the United States,
Germany, Holland and France, always getting a very positive reaction. We have
often been features in the worlds press,
getting regular coverage on TV, radio and
newspapers. We have even been featured
on the BBC. You can see some of
our newspaper coverage on the right.

Within the scope of project of "Coca-Cola bottles
from Turkey" held by Coca-Cola company in 2000, the
194cm. high
Coca-Cola bottle furnished with Karatepe rugs by our cooperation
representing Mediterranean region, took admiration of thens
of
thousands of visitors in wherever it was exhibited.
A 40-thread warp was used per 10 centimeters. It took 260
hours to create the kilim, using 10 kg. of yarn and 7 kg.
of dye.
100-110 year old Turkmen motifs were created using "Hand
on Waist", Wolf's Mouth" and "Young Man
on Horseback" motifs. |
