| All kilims are hand-woven by native
women of Anatolian tribes, they are made from 100% natural
wool and 100% organic, eco-friendly,
plant-vegetable dyes. The kilims are based on the unique
colours and patterns of the Anatolian nomads. Despite the rapid spread
of technology in the textiles industry, we are determined to stay with
the traditional methods of production. Only using natural wool and
natural dyes in the weaving of our kilims. |

Since chemical paint is not used, the
colors of kilims do
not get pale. The paints are also produced by natives of
the villages. Pine husk and rubia plants are used for the
red color, oleander and develik plants are used for green
colors. Some other plants used in dye development are
Madder root, indigo, St. John's wort, onion, saffron,
sumach, camomile, rhubarb, turmeric, sage, poppy,
buckthorn, quince, almond, walnut, chestnut and henna.
It is said that when using natural dyes one never can
achieve the exact same shade of a colour a second time.
This is one of the things that makes every kilim unique.

Beside our special kilims, we offer you hand-made
Turkish and Persian rugs. Our family has been in the
textile business for generations. We specialise in
collecting the very special silk and wool rugs created
in mountain villages.
All rugs are hand-made by natives of tribes. Tribal
carpets are made in nomadic settings by family or
tribes for traditional reasons.
In today's market, many dealers sell carpets made of
a certain regional style, but not by natives of that
region. It's difficult for the average customer to detect
these differences. We do not offer these for sale, all
carpets are authentic. We believe that only the
authentic item is good enough for our customers.
